We had the honour of restoring the thatched roofs of the homestead, constructing a new reed-bed water filtration system, and creating a bunker ablution facility. This historic site once supported merchant vessels and is home to a 250-year-old pine landmark. Located 60 km northwest of Cape Town, the 1,000-hectare estate is now recognized as a UNESCO biosphere reserve due to its rich diversity of native flora.

JNA Group's heritage thatching expertise shines in this contemporary coastal home where traditional craftsmanship meets modern architectural design. The seamlessly integrated thatch roof demonstrates our ability to create bespoke roofing solutions that complement contemporary aesthetics while maintaining the authentic character of traditional South African building methods. This project showcases how expert thatching services can enhance residential properties with sustainable, naturally insulating roof coverings that stand the test of time.

The meticulous restoration of this historic homestead's traditional doors and shutters reflects JNA Projects' commitment to preserving architectural heritage. Each timber element required careful assessment and skilled craftsmanship to maintain historical accuracy while ensuring structural integrity. The green shutters and period-appropriate door hardware demonstrate our attention to detail in heritage construction projects, where every component contributes to the building's authentic character and long-term durability.

This stunning Cape Dutch homestead exemplifies the perfect marriage of JNA Thatchers' generational expertise with contemporary restoration standards. The expertly crafted thatch roof, combined with the building's distinctive gabled facade, showcases our ability to deliver world-class thatching services for heritage properties. The pristine white walls and traditional green shutters frame the natural thatch beautifully, demonstrating how our roofing and construction teams work together to preserve South Africa's architectural legacy while meeting modern performance requirements.
