HOUSE La GRANGE DE CABRIÉRE
Franschhoek, South Africa

Nestled against Franschhoek's rolling hills, this new residence showcases JNA Group's expertise in modern construction and innovative roofing solutions. The property's distinctive corrugated metal roof structure integrates seamlessly with the natural landscape while providing exceptional weather protection. JNA Projects managed the complete construction process, delivering a home that balances contemporary design with environmental sensitivity.
The main living area showcases JNA's craftsmanship in traditional "Spaansriet" ceiling construction. This reed ceiling treatment, combined with exposed Sugargum beams, creates stunning architectural interest above the contemporary furnishings. The open-plan design flows naturally from living to kitchen areas, while the braai space extends functionality outdoors. JNA's construction team balanced modern comfort requirements with authentic South African building materials and techniques.

The bedroom features exposed timber ceiling beams that showcase precision craftsmanship. Clean lines and neutral finishes create a serene sleeping environment while highlighting the natural beauty of the timber construction. The structural beam placement required careful engineering to support the roof loads while maintaining the minimalist aesthetic. This construction demonstrates the attention to detail that characterises quality residential building projects.
The transformed loft area reveals JNA Projects' expertise in structural modifications and timber construction. Exposed roof trusses create dramatic interior architecture while serving essential load-bearing functions. This additional space conversion required specialised engineering to accommodate the area within existing roofline parameters. The precision-cut timber framework showcases the technical skill required for such structural adaptations, with large windows maximising natural light in the upper level.
