HOUSE AND LEISURE: CRAFTSMANSHIP IN THE KAROO
We’re delighted to share that De Kruis Farmhouse is featured in the latest edition of House & Leisure Volume 17: Harvest, a thoughtfully curated issue that celebrates a slower pace, seasonal rhythms, and the places that honour both past and present.
Nestled in the rugged beauty of the Moordenaars Karoo, this new residence blends traditional Karoo architecture with modern comforts to create something truly special. Designed by the renowned Perfect + Tippett Architecture, De Kruis pays tribute to the rich cultural heritage of the region while offering a luxurious and secluded retreat.
JNA’s Thatchers, Timber & Roofing division was entrusted with delivering the timber features, pergola, decking, poplar timber elements, and thatch roofs for this carefully considered home. Working in close collaboration with an incredible team of professionals:
Architect: Perfect + Tippett Architecture
Landscape Design: Franchesca Watson
Environmental: Dr Sue Milton-Dean
Building Contractor: Peter Van Wyk
We’re honoured to see this work recognised in House & Leisure, a publication that celebrates timeless design, purposeful living, and thoughtful spaces.
